The Karate Kid is a cult classic which stars Ralph Macchio as the Karate Kid. This movie has a great fanbase and I have seen it many times from a young age. There are four movies and while I have seen them all, I may not review them all. The first movie I think is epic in every way. I love Ralph Macchio in this film. He makes the fight scenes so cool and suspenseful. Also, Pat Morita as Mr. Miyagi is iconic. The storytelling is amazing and it made me engaged in what was going on. However, the soundtrack and icon quotes, are the best part of the movie, like all the classics I’ve watched. It gave every moment of Karate Kid a chance to be beloved. Some negatives include the runtime, which felt a little bit long, there were also filler scenes which just made the runtime longer and some repetitive scenes involving the people Daniel aka Karate Kid fights in this film. I think Karate Kid is amazing with its action, suspense and soundtrack and is a must watch.
