E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial is a cult classic directed by Steven Spielberg who’s most famous for Jurassic Park and the Indiana Jones franchise. This film is one of the most popular in the world and is iconic for its emotional story alongside the music and cinematography. Of course, I wasn’t born anywhere near the 1980’s so the impact of the movie likely wasn’t as strong for me as to those that saw it in cinemas at the time. However, after watching E.T I think it’s without a doubt an outstanding film! What I loved about this movie was the story. It was heartwarming and really shouted the message of friendship. The characters were also loveable, especially Elliott. The actor nailed the performance! The soundtrack though was what had me loving this film from start to finish. It was like the music was replicating the scene, which I loved. The only negative is the ending, which I felt was a little bit rushed, but that’s a minor critique. E.T is a great watch for a family movie night and hopefully you like it!
