Dog Man is the film adaptation to the book series which is set in the Captain Underpants universe. Everyone was complimenting the early footage we saw of this movie, which had beautiful animation. However, when hearing the reviews, critics were saying it was good or okay. I was interested to see what it would be like and now having seen the film, I think it is a good movie, but not great. I liked the animation which was very much like the books and the emotional message was very touching. It gave the movie a more complex side than from the books. Now the negatives in this film do really rip the enjoyment out quite a lot. To be honest the plot was dull and surprisingly convoluted, to the point where I could imagine someone falling asleep during it. The characters and their development were not great and the little plots with some characters felt rushed or uncomplete. I do think if you are a pet lover you will be happy with Dog Man and I think this movie is okay to watch with friends or family.
