Anaconda is a reimagination in the Anaconda franchise starring none other than Paul Rudd and Jack Black. Now, I’ve never seen the original movies, but hearing about this film was peaking my interest. Two hilarious actors in a movie where they are making a movie sounded really cool, especially since it reminded me of my love for making films. I was super excited watching all trailers. Then came Boxing Day, it was time to watch it, my expectations were high, so now I have watched it and I can say, I loved it so MUCH!
Firstly, Paul Rudd, Jack Black and the other actors do a laugh-out-loud performance. Without these actors the film would not have been as enjoyable. The movie loves to make fun of reboots which makes it funny for someone like me who understands what they’re talking about. The humour in this is downright hilarious and got me chuckling from start to finish. The whole film really nods to what I love to do and when certain characters are in the process of making their film, I couldn’t help but say in my head, “Oh, I do that!” or “I run into that problem all the time!” The anaconda itself is also awesome and the chase scenes are cool, suspenseful and funny at times.
I have no dislikes for this movie which just shows how much I adore it!
Anaconda is a funny film for kids 10+, as there is some coarse language and some mild violence. The film is similar to the newer Jumanji movies, but with a couple more swear words and (for me) a WAY better film. I definitely recommend it and I really want to watch this a second time at the movies!
