KPop Demon Hunters 2 Is In Trouble

Many sequels have been updated or confirmed in the last couple of weeks and some of them you will not believe! The first one is about the new Superman sequel…well not actually a sequel…let me explain. This new movie is called Man of Tomorrow and will release July 8^th, 2027. However, the crazy thing is that Superman and Lex Luthor will TEAM UP! That is epic and looks like Lex will have the mecha suit as well. James Gunn has said that the movie will be mainly “Lex’s perspective” which is going to be exciting and unique.

Paramount also announced five new Transformers projects with a G.I. Joe crossover and a couple of Michael Bay films. I’m not the biggest Transformers fan but I’m happy for the people who are hyped for these upcoming projects.

Lilo & Stitch 2 was announced. If you’ve read my review, (you should probably before reading this) you would know that I loved it and thought it was one of the best Disney live action remakes. It made a billion dollars so it wasn’t really a surprise they’re making a sequel. They could add Stitch’s cousins and love interest, although that may cost quite a bit. However, if the first got a billion dollars maybe the second film could get it too?!

Mitchells Vs. Machines 2 was recently announced to be in the works with Netflix and Sony Animation which is so good! I adored the first film and think there are a lot more fun and entertaining stories you could do with this. With AI now a popular daily aspect, it would be cool to tackle that in this second one.

Finally, speaking of Sony Animation and Netflix, KPop Demon Hunters is already in development for a sequel, but is right now in a bit of a pickle. You see, Netflix has an idea for this second movie, however Sony has an ENTIRELY different idea. Sometimes when this happens they end up getting the project delayed or even cancelled! However, I don’t think that will happen just yet. I think they will eventually pick an idea and start doing allllllll the other stuff. Especially with another re-release for KPop Demon Hunters in cinemas happening on October 31^st (Halloween), they don’t want to fumble a potential “billion dollar” sequel. I mean, it would be wise if they didn’t release it on Netflix, or at least in cinemas and on Netflix at the same time. If not, I guess a lot of re-releases could work?!

All these sequels are exciting to lovers of all franchises and will have a fantastic time when marketing starts.
